OVERVIEW General Goals • Preclearance allows expedited entry of a regulated commodity that: • Requires inspection, or • Requires a mandatory treatment • Entry is expedited because the requirement is met before export, resulting in only: • Paperwork clearance at the Port of Entry: Three Documents

OVERVIEW General Guidelines • Only one cooperator is allowed per country for similar commodity and treatment. • APHIS Preclearance is 100 Per Cent funded by the cooperator.
