Our Lessons Learned- I • Be prepared: • Knowing HIV/AIDS Country Situation, strategies, policies, programs, gaps… • Studying Global Fund mechanism in the country: Who are CCM, PR, SR, what program/interventions are available, information of proposal development • What can FBO do to fill the gaps? What are our available resources and strengths ( funding, key players, technical support, alliances) to implement the program and to meet requirements of the Global Fund??? • Resource mobilization to meet requirements; manpower, fund, capacity, network • -
Our Lessons Learned -II • Be present: • Meaningful participation in an existing national mechanism/network • Develop an FBO coordination network in Thailand to advocate for more involvement from religious sectors and to scale-up FBO intervention “TOGETHER, We Can do More” • Be Open-minded: • We are not alone!!!! Opportunity for FBO link with the national network of HIV/AIDS alliances… PLWHA, GO , NGO, civil society • Ready to be challenged. Ready to challenge and learn from other experiences.
Our Lessons Learned -III • Be Aware: • Assess capacity to meet GF requirement s (management, implementation, M&E) • Plan to localize our initiatives and to integrate the program with the existing community system/mechanism • Involving FBO institutions at national level • Be ready for hard work! Good luck!
