  2. iSCSI SAN Basic Architecture • Easy Deployment and management • Backup server create the dedicated virtual tape driveson 233x for each application server. • VTL head just kicks the backup job and all the backup data stream goes directly from application servers to 233x and no overheads on VTL server. • Application server can also have its own volume on the same 233x system. System configuration with 2332 When Failed-over Fault Tolerent configuration 233x supports multiple IP addresses, so when failover the remaining controller takes over the LUN of failed controller to the application servers. DAS connection allowed maximum of four connections (don’t need Ethernet switches).
