BIQ Goals • Increase Use of BIQ: • Promote benefits • Make access easier • Increase BIQ awareness: • Promote through sister associations • Promote through speeches & conferences • Promote through other rating systems • Increase Notoriety • Award program • Link to Cycle Costing Tool • Support RS Means new efforts for LCC to improve IB features

  5. BIQ Achievements • Increase Use of BIQ: • CABA & BIQ has spoken at many conferences and organizations and provided FREE DEMOS to promote the BIQ. We have one sponsor and ~50 buildings in the database. • Increase BIQ awareness: • CABA & BIQ has spoken at many conferences and organizations to increase the awareness of the BIQ. ASHRAE, LEED, REALCOM, AEE, USGBC, WEEC, ACEEE, World Green Council, IFMA, others • Working with other rating systems (GBI, LEED, Energy Star, IB Europe) • Increase Notoriety • Award program (need quality buildings in database to support award worth) • Life Cycle Costing Tool • Support RS Means (BiQC has contributed to LCC effort since inception)

  6. BIQ Objectives • Increase Use of BIQ: • CABA members get one FREE DEMO and provide intention to purchase a specific # or license for the BIQ. Provides the cost recovery and the User Group needed to give the Advisory Board feedback for improvements and to get many more buildings in the database. • Increase BIQ awareness: • CABA & BIQ to increase discussions with other organizations on the complimentary benefits for Net Zero Buildings, Demand Response, Carbon Footprint and other information and interoperable benefits. Increase Notoriety • Award program - Create Validation Program needed for Awards with Centennial College • Life Cycle Costing Tool • Support RS Means or develop a LCC model specifically related to BiQ rating improvements (BiQC has contributed to LCC effort since inception)
