  2. Manatee • Florida manatees inhabit the southeastern United States, primarily in Florida, but they are commonly sighted in Georgia, too. During the warmer summer months, Florida manatees have been sighted as far north as Rhode Island and as far west as Texas! www.sirenian.com

  3. The danger • The biggest single threat to Florida manatees is death from collisions with recreational watercraft. In Florida, this is a particularly large danger, since Florida is infested with fishing boats, sailboats, cargo ships, cruise ships, and much more.

  4. The cost? • With your help, we can contribute $20 for a year of adoption to save this manatee from the dangers of the wild. Any left over money will be put towards food for the manatee.
