ADVENTURES IN WRITTING The text says that sailors used to mistake manatees for mermaids. Write a short story about a sailor who sees a manatee and thinks it is a mermaid. Your short story should have a beginning, a middle, and an end. In the beginning introduce and describe the main character, the sailor. In the middle, include at least three things that happen when the sailor sees what he believes is a mermaid. In the end, describe how things work out. Does the sailor figure out his mistake?
