1 Be Proactive • Choose good attitudes in the library • Do not blame others if they find a book that you would like to have • Do the right thing without being asked • Choose to be helpful • Be responsible • Take good care of your books
2 Begin with the End in Mind • What is my goal? • What kind of book do I need today? • What do I want to learn about today? • How can I be a good citizen?
3 Put First Things First • What is most important? • Use your time wisely • Focus on your task- Make good selections
4 Think Win -WIN • Remember you will have many opportunities to choose different books • How you treat others is important now
5 Seek First to Understand, Then to be Understood Listen Do not interrupt others Look other people in the eyes
