Today’s Group Activities • Bell Ringer (Independent/Whole Class -20 min). • Read “Inclusive Communities” handout and summarize the articles. (Whole Class- 10min.) • Read the physically disabled students program handout and create timeline of the acts on the bottom of the page. (Group -10 min.) • Find support… Look for supporting evidence in the handouts and your resources from home to back up your opinion that Liberty Park should be renovated to meet the needs of limited mobility and special needs citizens. (Group – 20 min.) • Draft your letter… Begin writing the draft of your letter, being sure to include a hook, and all other information required in the first paragraph. Check off required items as you meet them. Be sure to include your varied sentences and phrases. Move on the second and third paragraphs.
