  2. SISTEMA DE GESTOS DE APOYO A LA LECTO-ESCRITURA. JUSTIFICACIÓN. Muchos métodos, incluso los diseñados para la educación especial, asocian gestos a cada uno de los fonemas o, por lo menos a los primeros que se enseñan. Es lo que se denomina un sistema aumentativo, ya que intentan reforzar la asociación entre fonema y grafema, ser un puente entre lo visual y auditivo. Por ser gestos, ya son visuales (como los grafemas), por lo tanto es necesario que recuerden a algo auditivo (como los fonemas). Por ello usaremos unos gestos como apoyo a la lecto-escritura que evocan en nuestros alumnos las grafías, que complementaremos con otros que evocan al punto de articulación de los fonemas , facilitando la articulación en los casos con dificultades. • LECTO-ESCRITURA. Se apoya la grafía y el sonido en el gesto, para que les sea más fácil recordar tras un período de ausencia a clase por algún motivo. • ARTICULACIÓN. Esta es una propuesta para los alumnos con problemas articulatorios, considerados o no como dislalias, en proceso de adquisición de la lecto-escritura. Con estos gestos de apoyo a la pronunciación se pretende complementar a los gestos de apoyo a la lectoescritura, para alcanzar una fluidez lectora adecuada, y como consecuencia un mayor nivel de comprensión lectora.
