Senior Phase Benchmarking Tool A new online tool designed to analyse, compare and improve the performance of pupils in the senior phase Will be used by secondary schools, local authorities and Education Scotland Aims to encourage: professional reflection a collaborative approach to looking at data and working together as part of the improvement process Will replace STACs (Standard Tables and Charts) from August 2014
Emphasis on educational outcomes Presents a rounded picture by providing data on four measures which support Curriculum for Excellence: • Increasing post-school participation • Improving attainment in literacy and numeracy • Improving attainment for all • Tackling disadvantage by improving the attainment of lower attainers relative to higher attainers
Dashboard feature Encourages the user to consider a range of outcomes for learners
Filters Possible to filter information; including by gender, age, looked after children and English as an additional language
