CLIMATE Russiais the biggest country in the world. So, there are big temperature differences in each area and you should select your clothes carefully when you go to Russia.
In winter, the average temperature is minus 1- 22 degree. In summer, the average temperature is less than 22 degree. An annual rainfall is not so much, about 25-75 millimeters.
CLOTHES You should wear thick coats, fur or long down. • CAP - you should wear fur caps which can cover your ears. • SHOES - you should wear boots. (It should not slip and it is with fur inside.) It is OK if you wear no tie and jacket in the restaurant, hotel or theater.
Russian Food Bread has always been the central role in the Russian diet. They like dark, heavy rye bread. Below are the different meals of the day and what is usually eaten.
Russian Meal ZAVTRAK - BREAKFAST • an open sandwich with cheese, ham or salami with a cup of tea. OBED - LUNCH (main meal) • Obed starts with a small zakuska ( salt herring or some king of salad). It is followed by soup that is made from a homemade stock. Russian Education • Russian education system has been known as high quality for all people. • Russia's higher education system started with the foundation of the universities in Moscow and St. Petersburg in the middle of the 18th century. • It is still famous that Russia is eager to develop system of higher education.
Stages of compulsory schooling Primaryeducation for ages 6-7 to 9-10 Senior school for ages 10-11to 12-13 Secondary school forages 13-14 to 14-15. It has been determined studyingelementary and lower secondaryeducation by 15 years old as duty.
In the stage of compulsory education,even if children enter which school, they receive common general education until the 9th grade. Russian education system has reached the selection requirement and free choice, individual study, and group study were also introduced.
