Risk Management - Incident Report Form • Caution: • Subject to legal discovery, should contain only objective information • Incident reports are legal documents • Not to be placed in, or referred to, in medical record • Discuss incident only with appropriate parties • Never photocopy • Do not coerce injured visitor to ED

  13. Security Management • Scope: • The organization provides a safe, comfortable environment for patients, visitors and staff by designing, providing, evaluating and improving an appropriate security infrastructure.

  24. Emergency Preparedness Management • Scope: • To provide a safe environment for patients, visitors and staff in the event of an external or internal emergency.

Life Safety Management • Objectives: • Protect patients, visitors, personnel and property from fire and smoke. • Maintain compliance with “Life Safety Code NFPA 101” • Inspecting testing and maintaining all fire systems and equipment. • Provide life safety orientation and training for all staff
