  4. Document-Driven DSS Dokumen-Driven DSS atau Sistem Manajemen Pengetahuan, dikembangkan untuk membantu manajer mengambil dan mengelola dokumen tidak terstruktur dan halaman Web. Sebuah DSS Berbasis Dokumen mengintegrasikan berbagai teknologi penyimpanan dan pengolahan untuk menyediakan pengambilan dokumen lengkap dan analisis. Web menyediakan akses ke database dokumen yang besar termasuk database dokumen hypertext, gambar, suara dan video. Contoh dokumen yang akan diakses oleh Dokumen-Based DSS adalah kebijakan dan prosedur, spesifikasi produk, katalog, dan dokumen sejarah perusahaan, termasuk notulen rapat, catatan perusahaan, dan korespondensi yang penting. Sebuah mesin pencari adalah alat untuk membantu pengambilan keputusan yang kuat terkait dengan Dokumen-Driven DSS (cf., Fedorowicz, 1993, hlm 125-136).
