Everyone is a Seeker | Awakening Love

1. Everyone is a Seeker March 24, 2023 A dolphin in the ocean, a raven on the tall tree, a child sitting on the doorstep, a mother struggling with life, a father coping with the harshness of this planet, a Sadhu sitting in a cave, a doctor performing a surgery, a soldier marching on the ground, a player honing his skills-all of them breathing at the same time. All of them are searching either for survival or happiness or contentment or the truth. Seeking for something more- is that one thread that connects us all. Research for self discovery is a journey that can take us down many different parts, some of which may ultimately proved to be dead ends. We become consumed with the pursuit of external validation and lose sight of our own true selves.

2. Yet human beings are pretty intelligent creatures. You may find references of people who gave up on the world and turned to the journey of self-discovery. But you may hardly find references of people who gave up on the journey of self-realization and started pursuing the world again. Perhaps once you have glimpsed the vastness of inner landscapes and green Meadows of truth, you may lose interest in pebbles and suffocating streets of illusion. It seems inconceivable-that everything we know, everything we love, every thing that even was and will be, failed to provide us unshakeable peace and unwavering happiness. Down here on earth, the way we have evolved from being various species, managing billions of thoughts and ignoring our own ungratefulness for our miraculous brains- our capacity for seeking arises. Seeking must have fallen on an ancient atom when it was separated from its source. The seeking of atoms swirled, flowed outside and turned into a molecule. The molecule then could not handle the sharp seeking and burst into liquids, gases or solids. The pain of separation and the quest for returning home must have created our entire universe. Our seeking is evident, eternal, omnipotent , omnipresent and infinitely powerful. Old Woman Seeker Old Woman Seeker As I was going about my day, my phone rang. I picked it up to find an elderly woman on the other end of the line. “Hello, my name is Kaur,” she said in a thick Australian accent. “I am a Sikh woman, religious and spiritual, and I want to meet you.” Surprised, I asked her how she had heard of me. “My granddaughter was your student,” she replied. “She told me about you and then I attended few of your online sessions. The moment I saw you I just knew that I had to meet you. I am coming to India to find God and I believe you can help me.” I hesitated, unsure of how to respond. “I am just a teacher,” I explained. “I teach about the subconscious mind and human consciousness. I cannot promise to help you find God, that is a personal journey.” But Kaur was persistent. “Please, I beg of you,” she said. “I know you are the one who can help me. I am coming to India and I want to meet you. I will do anything to learn from you.” Feeling slightly overwhelmed, I agreed to meet with her. When she arrived, I was struck by her appearance. She was an old woman, with grey hair and dressed in an Indian white salwar suit. She looked to be the same age as my own grandmother would be if she were still alive today. As she entered the room, she bowed down to me. I felt uncomfortable but reciprocated her gesture. She then requested me to teach her everything I knew. I agreed, and I started teaching her about the human mind, both in and out of class. But every time I would explain something to her, she would interrupt and ask about God. I tried to explain to her that God was not a separate entity, but rather a part of oneself. However, her desire to meet God was unwavering. Despite this, I found her to be a humble and hard-working student. Her faith in me was strange but also reassuring, knowing that there are still people in the world who seek to find God rather than only seeking worldly pleasures.

3. For the next three months, Kaur graced me with her presence in my classroom, eagerly absorbing every word I spoke. Her approach to the teachings was unlike any other student I had encountered. While the others were focused on the technical aspects of clinical hypnotherapy and Thetahealing Chakra, as well as family bonds and constellations, Kaur was on a quest to uncover the deepest layers of her own mind, both the good and the bad, in order to reach the ultimate essence of existence: God. At first, I must admit, I was skeptical of her intentions. I wondered if she was suffering from some sort of mental illness, seeking solace in God through the teachings I offered. But as I got to know Kaur, I met her family and saw the way they spoke of her in such reverent terms. It became clear that Kaur was not simply searching for a way to cope, but rather she came from a family deeply rooted in religious and spiritual practices. And so, I came to believe that her desire to find God was a genuine pursuit, born from a lifetime of spiritual inclination and a profound thirst for knowledge. Every day, as Kaur sat in my class, I could feel a divine energy flowing through me, directed towards her in particular. It was as if she recognized something in me, something that I myself was not even aware of. And sometimes, I felt guilty for teaching her solely about the subconscious mind, without even mentioning God. But Kaur always reassured me that I was the right person to guide her on this journey towards self-discovery. There were times when I would sit with her and tell her that I am not an enlightened person. I am a simple girl who learnt the sciences and our teaching and working on human consciousness. There were moments when I questioned whether I was doing her a disservice by teaching only about the subconscious mind, without explicitly mentioning God. But Kaur reassured me that she was here to understand her own self, step by step, and that every bit of knowledge I imparted was leading her closer to her ultimate truth. She said one day, “I have very less time and I can not waste it in worldly pursuits. Everything you teach me helps me to get rid of mental illusions and take one step closer to my truth. You may look at your teachings from scientific perspective but for me I receive the tools to purify my self so I can find my true essence.” She was right. I realised the sciences of subconscious mind could be used to explore our own essence and discover the truth within ourselves. All you need is pure thirst for your own truth.
