Identity Mask • Masks are a way we present ourselves to the world, what does your mask say about you? • This is an internal reflection on your personal culture, beliefs and values. • Your assignment is to build a mask in whatever form you feel best suits what you want to express. The mask will contain at least 10 different items (labeled), although you will focus on 3 during your presentation.

  3. Presentation • You have one week to prepare your mask and your presentation. • Your presentation must be 5-10 minutes in duration. • Your presentation will focus on three aspects of your mask. When you present remember to describe why and where you feel this belief came from or how it developed. Why is it important?

  5. Criteria for oral and display • Organization: The mask has your name and is labeled with 10 elements. (5 points) • Captions: You have 10 express values and beliefs that you feel contribute to your own identity. (5 points) • Creativity: The eye-catching artwork weaves your surface and internal beliefs. It is authentic in colors, arrangement and impression. (5 points) • Connections: Oral presentation consistently shows how (in what way) values and beliefs have shaped your own “self.” (5 points) • Delivery: Within time frame, good voice volume, and engaging audience. (5 points)
