Follow-Up and Data Forwarding • Library System will determine which numbers/milestones should be reported for grant support to CA Research Bureau/State Librarian’s Office • Tallies should be taken when forwarding paper CalVet Reintegration Forms • CalVet can assist when vets complete online Reintegration Forms • May want to keep a basic customer clipboard (count of veterans/visit dates)
What do I need to Remember? • You are here to provide a caring experience • You only need to provide basic guidance/direction • A friendly start to a veteran’s search will make all the difference! • Listen – Assess – Educate – Direct to Next Path! • Know how to contact nearest CVSO, and CalVet LINC • Have Fun!!
Going Live - Quiz • What are some good techniques to use when making initial contact with a veteran at your site? • Which forms of print media are best to present to any veteran as a first offering? • T/F? You should keep some kind of log or tally of veteran visits and specific assistance you’ve rendered.
