Weldon Garrelts gave us the word on Tootsie Pop Day. Tootsie Pop days will be May 19 & 20. The Walk for Sight report will be given after Tootsie Pop days.
The locations at County Market have been canceled. Too few members signed up to support it. Starter kits for Lions working Tootsie Pop Days will be placed at each location by 9 AM. Aprons and cans will be available and we have a good supply of Tootsie Pops.
Weldon will tour the sites regularly during both days. Please remain at your site until he comes to pick up your materials. Cards explaining Lions Club will also be available at your sites.
Now, it’s time for our Know Your Lion segment, an unscripted interview of Paul Kunkel by Frank Duff.
And since it’s unscripted, there are no words to describe it.
Mister Twister, alias Tom Yaxley, asked Sam McGrew to carry the bucket. What choice did Sam have?
And right away, the Twister fined Bob Tuchel for having won the lottery. Well, at least Bob was able to keep some of it…
And then he got everybody at Byron Balback’s table for sitting with the birthday boy.
President Ted Gonsiorowski got fined for some imaginary offense or other…
and then had no money to pay for it, so good ol’ Sam loaned him a dollar. We suspect that Sam may have taken it out of the bucket…
Kathy Struck paid for bragging about one of her young relatives who earned a post-graduate degree.
Ted auctioned off another package of Marvin Paulsen’s asparagus off. Dave Hunter suggested that Paulsen’s Monopoly was Marvin gardens.
Now, he wants to take it all back, but nooooo-o-o-o. Too late!
And Guys, let’s not forget Mother’s Day Next Sunday May 12
