  16. LARTCS Costs/Funding The "Cost" to participating agencies? There is NO COST to be of member of LARTCS or to utilized the System. All Agencies are required to sign a memorandum of Understanding that stipulates how and when to use the system.

LARTCS PHASE I • Installation of Equipment and Implementation of an Integrated JPS Wide Area interoperability system • Establish Console to Console links to surrounding counties • Purchase and Deployment of Mobile Communications Interoperability Unit • Establish MOU’s and Operational Protocals for Interoperability • Establish a Continuing Training and Testing Program with Involved Agencies

  26. LARTCS PHASE II • Build Out of RF Interoperability Infrastructure Throughout Metropolitan Los Angeles County • Establish formalize training program for all public safety first responders.

Currently in the process of formulating and releasing an RFP for the hiring of a full system’s integrator. • The integrator will assist in the preparation of the statement of work and specifications for the system build-out as well as assist the executive Committee in the evaluation of bids received. • The integrator will then assume the role as the project management team for the duration of the build-out and will operate under the Executive Committee review.

Current Project Constructing an Interoperability Infrastructure consisting of: • Five countywide I-Tac 800 Mhz channels • Five countywide UHF mutual aid channels • Three countywide VHF mutual aid channels • Microwave links to communication centers • Enhance SCC interoperability console system • Continued Integration of JPS Wide Area • interoperability system • Console to Console links to additional Counties

  29. LARTCS PHASE III • Continued Enhancement of Los Angeles County Infrastructure. • Expansion of interoperability Infrastructure into Additional Counties
