So solid crew • A genre of urban music. • It first emerged in bow, east london in the early 2000’s. • The genre developed with uk garage/dancehall/hip hop. • It has been known to be Britains addition to urban/black music, which has managed to become a little bit popular in the US. (home of urban music.) • Grime has become very popular in Europe aswell. • The sound of this type of genre is very complex, coming from 140 beats per minute. • The lyrics + music combined create a futuristic electronic element, and dark guttural bass line. • The rapping is often speeded up x2.
