ARC Objectives • Objectives and Tasks of ARC • Investigate, prioritize, and summarize the current issues related to Halon Replacement • Identify the key issues and recommend tasks necessary to investigate and resolve these issues • Provide recommendations for collaborative industry-government initiatives on mutually beneficial solutions
Industry-Government Initiatives • Initiatives should include, but are not limited to, the following; • Recommendations for an industry-government framework and top-level plan for Halon replacement activities • Recommendation on the organizational structure, scope, and specific work program • Proposals for Halon replacement timelines based on existing international standards • Proposals for assuring the safety of Halon reserves through non-regulatory or regulatory mechanisms • Specific implementation plans, for each of the four major aircraft application areas.
