These can be separated using paper chromatography. • Can detect very small amounts of harmful pesticides in foods • Detect drugs in urine • Separate complex chemicals found in cells of living things • Check composition and purity of chemicals used in industry • Used to make and purify chemicals by manufacturers of medicines.
