What Is ONADE? • Stands for Office of New Animal Drug Evaluation • Evaluate animal drugs to make sure they are safe and effective • Make sure the animal drugs are safe for humans who may consume the animal • Work with the pharmaceutical sponsors to make sure to develop what requirements will be necessary to demonstrate if the product is safe and effective

Cosmetic Testing On Animals • The FDA is responsible for assuring that cosmetics are safe and properly labeled • Intended to ensure the safety and hypoallergenic properties of the products for use by humans • A cosmetic manufacturer might say their company doesn’t test on animals, but that just means that the products aren’t "currently" tested on animals.
