Two main themes • What should be taught? • Cooperation between key stakeholders
What should be taught? • Depends on the level of education • Higher education • Standardization in business and society • De jure and de facto • Formal and non-formal standard setting organizations • Students should know and understand the whole picture • All relevant aspects of standardization!
Cooperation between key stake holders • Who should be involved? • Cooperation between standards setters and other key stake holders • National responsibility, but supported by regional and international activities • Orchestrated action instead of fragmented
Conclusion • Students at academic level must be taught standardization as a whole • National responsibility • Supported by regional and international activities • Cooperation is key!
