  2. What is control technology? • Control technology is when you use ICT to control certain objects. For example, to power traffic lights. • As the name suggests, the controlling of technology. • This technology must be controlled be some kind of software or computer machine. E.G Microsoft software controls PowerPoint, word etc.

  3. Other control technology! • The thermostat of the following devices… • The oven • The air conditioning • Freezer • Other… • The remote • Washing machine

  4. How it works! • Oven – You can control this by turning the dial for the right temperature. • Air conditioning – Air conditioners are quite complicated. Evaporation and compression is the key to this device. • Freezer – On most freezers there is a dial for the temperature. • Remote – All remotes are controlled by you! • Washing Machine – There is different control panels to power the heat of the machine and a button to turn on and off.
