YAHWEH • Yahweh or Jehovah is the redemptive name of God. • A name distinguishing Himself from any others gods. • It means-Self-Existing One, The Eternal One, or God is! • Yahweh is the third person of the verb “to be”
I AM • Yahweh used by others referring to God. • I Am is used in the First Person. • When God is referring to Himself. • These words are different forms of the same verb.
Elliptical clause • Matt. 28:19 is an elliptical cause. • The name is singular followed by the elliptical cause indicating one name is the name of Father, Son and Holy Ghost. • There is no other name (Acts 4:12)
The Name Jesus • God’s progression ended with this name. • Everything is to be done in the name of Jesus (Col. 3:17). • Jesus is the God’s family name (Eph. 3:14-15). • Jesus is the name of the Father (Jn 17:6,26). • Jesus is the name of the Holy Ghost (Jn 14:26).
