ISAS Work Group Restructure • Restructuring proposal: Consolidate inactive work groups of eTag Issue Work Group (EIWG) and Real Time Work Group (RTWG) with Interchange Work Group (IWG). • Members of EIWG and RTWG will become members of IWG • IWG chair has revised charter and will bring it as an approval item at August meeting
Work Group Updates • ATFWG: • ATFWG did not meet in April • At May Scheduler’s Meeting WECC presented ATF eTag issue • Late April, one entity was responsible for authoring approximately 180 ATF etags for one day. • ATFWG chair has been asked to investigate and present at August ISAS meeting. • IWG: • WIAB Test • 2014 test to be conducted in fall of 2014 • WAPA Rocky Mountain Region has volunteered to participate • Still seeking additional participants
Work Group Updates cont’d • IWG • INT Regional Business Practices • IWG Chair was asked to review all current INT Regional BP’s in order to determine if any changes were needed regarding the implementation of BAL-002 in the fall of 2014 • IWG group identified INT-014 and INT-01 INT-014, already slated for retirement INT-011, IWG recommended requirement 1.3 & 1.4 be removed. IWG has submitted however there was some confusion as to the status of the SAR. • ESWG • ESWG continues to address WIT Wish List. • INT-021
2014 WECC Scheduler’s Mtg • Recap of meeting • Scheduler’s meeting held May 14th & 15th in Portland, OR • Hosted by Bonneville Power • Meeting was a big success • Meeting was intentionally held without a webinar to help increase attendance • Attendance increased to 93 registered attendees • Thank you to Kathy Downey, Deanna Doney, & Agenda Committee • Feedback from attendees • Location, Location, Location – Northwest serves as a good travel hub • Only a few requests to make the meeting available via webinar • Steps to build on Success for 2015
Dynamics & Pseudo Ties • Craig Williams presented on discussions that WECC had been having concerning Dynamic & Pseudo Ties • Should WECC entertain a regional business practice or standard for Dynamics & Pseudo Ties? • Action item: Bring topic to June JGC Meeting • Discussion at June JGC meeting led to development of a task force. JGC is targeting formation of task force for September meeting.
Other Items • 2015 Preschedule Calendar was unanimously approved. Calendar is posted on WECC website • ISAS was monitoring NAESB Gas/Electric Harmonization efforts for any potential changes to the electric scheduling calendar • 2014 Remaining Meeting • August 20-21st, Portland OR
