Where are nephrons located? • Renal cortex (some loops are in renal medulla)

What structure does blood enter into within the nephron? • glomerulus
What structure surrounds the glomerulus? • Bowman’s capsule
What goes into the Bowman’s capsule? • Filtrate, including sodium, amino acids, glucose

What substances get reabsorbed as they go through the proximal tubule? • Glucose, sodium, water
Where is the loop of Henle located? • In the Medulla
What gets reabsorbed from the distal convoluted tubule? • Calcium, Sodium
What is left over after reabsorption has taken place? • Waste products and excess water
Where do waste products and excess water flow into? • Collecting ducts to collecting tubules
