  1. The only thing that changes a person’s relationship with God is God. God’s Presence God’s Power God’s Promises

  2. Walking with God on a regular basis is God’s way of unleashing His power, His presence and His promises into our lives.

  3. BY FAITH NOAH The faith of works

  4. I am not saying that we are saved by good works, I’m saying that good works FOLLOW as a result of our salvation.

  5. “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!” 2 Cor. 5:17

  6. All the people in God’s Hall of Fame did something that revealed their faith as genuine.

  7. “Faith without works is dead.” James 2:26

  8. “But someone will say, ‘You have faith; I have deeds.’ Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do.’” James 2:18

  9. By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family. By his faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that comes by faith. Hebrews 11:7

  10. Genesis 6:8-22 tells the story of Noah, but most important verse is the last, “Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.”

  11. NOAH’S FAITH WAS SEEN IN HIS RESPONSE TO GOD’S WORD.

  12. When Noah heard the Word he stopped everything he was doing and started building the ark and KEPT building it for over 100 years!

  13. He lived in Mesopotamia, between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, but not close to either. It didn’t rain where he was to build the ark.

  14. He obeyed even though this was a huge craft! The ark was 1 ½ football fields long, as wide as a football field and 4 stories high! What was God thinking?

  15. Can you imagine the laughter he had to endure?

  16. “And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.” Genesis 6:5.

  17. HOW WAS HE ABLE TO DO IT?

  18. Genesis 6:9 states that Noah walked with God.

  19. This thought is also hinted at in the way he listened to God’s Word about the ark- “in reverence.”

  20. FAITH AND US

  21. The work that God calls us to do is a long-term task.

  22. The work that God calls us to do in foolish in the eyes of others.

  23. The work that God calls us to do is to a perverse generation.

  24. The work that God calls us to do involves the salvation of other people.

  25. The work that God calls us to do is done ONLY by trusting Him.

  26. Trusting Him to do great things comes only when we walk with Him!

  27. “We believe that if we just do what the coach says, we will win.” Even more true for Christians because Jesus is a player-coach
