Caffeine • Most nutritional labels don’t post all the caffeine contained in the can. • Most cans do not state the correct serving size. • Guarana contains caffeine • Guarana contains 3 to 5 percent of caffeine • The human body can handle about 200 milligrams of caffeine if consumed throughout the day

Alcohol • In Wal-mart energy drinks are in the same area as the alcoholic beverages. • Why is this? • When mixed with alcohol, it can be a deadly combination.
Exercise • Energy drinks are not a hydrator when exercising. • They actually act as a dietary, which is a dehydrator. • Gatorade contains most all of the needed nutrients that are lost in exercise.
Review • Body cannot handle too much caffeine. • Alcohol does not mix well. • Not a good hydrator.
