Harlow – Wednesday 28th August • Key Customer Themes: • Descriptive POS: POS throughout the store with descriptive wording, seen on hanging signs, bunting, security shrouds, header boards and side of fridge POS. • Tesco Bank:‘£30 cash back when you take out pet insurance’. Supported by overhead signs and outside posters. • Clubcard Boost: Themecontinues to be highlighted by bus stops advertising ‘£5 in vouchers = £10’. • Special Offers: ½ price and £1 offers advertised with header boards and shelf barkers. • Price Promise: Theme continues to be highlighted in store by bus stops. • School Shop: School uniform has 4 dedicated bays and stationery has 8 bays in the Seasonal aisle. Highlighted by bus stops and shelf edge strips. • General Feel: The store was quite busy at time of visit. There is a continental market feel, with pallets of veg in foyer with striped POS. Inside there is a fridge made up like a deli and a chalkboard in the fruit and veg section.   3. Harlow – Wednesday 28th August • Key Customer Themes: • NEW Baby And Toddler Event: The Seasonal aisle is dedicated to lots of baby and toddler products. Supported by header boards, shelf edge labels, bunting and shelf fins. • Big Rollback: Theme continues with lots of items for a £1 on aisle ends. Supported by snow ploughs, overhead signs and tax discs. • Price Lock: Theme highlighted by overhead signs and tax discs. • Price Promise: ‘10% cheaper or we'll give you the difference guaranteed’. Highlighted by overhead signs. • Homeware Sale: 5 bays dedicated to sale items on the ground floor as well as the Homeware department upstairs. Highlighted by outside A boards and inside posters, shelf edge strips, header boards and bunting. • School Shop: Theme is highlighted by header boards and standees. • General Feel: The store was well stocked with lots of pallet displays on entry. It was untidy and there were very few staff on hand.   4. Wimbledon – Wednesday 28th August • Key Customer Themes: • Hot Deals: ‘Get them while they're hot’. Theme advertised around the store on high signs, focused in the centre aisle. • Every Penny Matters: ‘We're on a mission to save you very penny we can’. Slogan advertised on high signs at front of store. • 100% Availability Guaranteed On Our Pick Of The Street Deals: Theme visible on high signs above the checkouts. • Back To School: ‘Kit the kids out’. Clothing and stationary seen over 3 bays. Highlighted with overhead signs and bus stops. • Great Value: Signs seen on the end of every gondola at the FOS. • Saving Stamps: The Pink Pig logo can be seen on and above every checkout and all around the front of store advertising £3 free. • General Feel: Busy store, with limited space due to additional table displays and stacks. Shelves were very tidy and plenty of staff were on hand to assist. Wimbledon – Wednesday 28th August • Key Customer Themes: • 1000's Of Ways To Great Value: Seen on signs highlighting various offers throughout the store. • Brand Price Match: Comparing Waitrose prices to Tesco's using green barkers & bus stops scattered around the store and large hanging signs. • General Feel: Clean store and well laid out. The shelves were stacked well. Plenty of staff were working on shop floor to assist the customers. There was a queue waiting to pay with only one till open. Highlighted with high signs and bus stops. • Back To School: 23 bays of school clothes and accessories. Highlighted with high signs & bus stops promoting the offers. • Taste Of Summer: Slogan used throughout the store on signs promoting selected food & drink items popular in the summer season. • NEW Bumper Book of Summer: An event directed at children, with ideas of different activities they can under take to amuse themselves in the summer holidays. Launched using FSDUs in a front of store display, posters, overhead signs, bus stops and bunting around the front of the store. • Great Offers: Main signage used throughout the store to highlight offers. • General Feel: Tidy, clear store. Spacious on entry with well stocked shelves. All checkouts were advertising Sainsbury's finance and mobile with a variety of displayed leaflets. Plenty of helpful staff were available.
