Offensive Line Alignment • The Offensive Line Alignment: • The Depth of the offensive line is set from the circle of the ankle of the center. • The Guards will align in a three point stance. • Tackles will align in a two point stance. • Problems: • Close your splits. • The Splits: • Center to Guard • Two Feet • Guard to Tackle • Two Feet
Offensive Backfield Alignment • The Offensive Alignment: • The Quarterback’s Alignment: • The toes of the QB are five yards from the front tip of the ball directly behind the center. • The Tailback’s Alignment • The toes of the TB are six yards from the front tip of the ball thatching the outside leg of the guard. • The Alignment: • QB - Toes Five yards from the front tip of the ball. • TB - Toes Six yards from the front tip of the ball thatching the outside leg of the guard.
Receiver Alignment Charts Number two receiver - apex the EMOLS and the outside receiver. Number three receiver - apex the offensive tackle and #2.
Motion • Jet Motion: • Using a fast slide technique the TB will motion from one side of the formation to the other. • Orbit Motions: • Leave as late and fast as possible • Using a 3 x 3 technique (three flat and three up and shuffle to alignment)motion back to the TB alignment with shoulders square. • Zack - “Z” motions back. • Hack - “H” motions back. • Tack - “T” motions back.
Stemming • Stemming is moving from one formation and resetting to another. The possibilities are endless. • Stem with a purpose. • Boogie - Start in Bunch move to formation called. • Boom - Trading a bunch from one side to another. • Stem - I move to formation called.

14, 15 Dart Offensive Line Rules Coaching Points: #1 Stay on combination block as long as possible. The counter fake will slow down the backside backer. #2 Use “Pop” step on the play side. Pick up spark games. #3 Plays side tackle - Collect the tackle if crosses your face and gap block. Collect “B” gap blitz if he is at heals depth. #4 Backside tackle must eye the tail of the tackle.
