  1. The Linux Revolution • Linux distributions have long since run the top servers worldwide. Today Linux powers 6 of the top 10 web servers worldwide. • Linux is the cornerstone of LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySql, PHP/Perl/Python), the most popular software used by web developers worldwide and the most common platform for Web Hosting. • Linux powers 455 (91%) of the top 500 supercomputers and is the operating system for the world's most powerful supercomputer, IBM's Sequoia which will become operational in 2011.
