  3. You use existing tires that would have been thrown into a land fill • It saves landfill space • It saves on building materials • You have to get the tires from someone • There is not a lot of sun light • Difficult to control temperature Advantages/Disadvantages of Tire House

  4. Water is free or inexpensive • Expensive to build but inexpensive after built • Good for environment • Renewable energy Advantages of Hydroelectric

  5. Advantages – Doesn’t consume as much energy as a regular furnace • Disadvantages - up front cost is very expensive • Uses heat from earth • Renewable Geothermal pump

  6. They are expensive to build • The building of dams can cause water access problems • This can’t cause flooding and always hurt the environment and its creatures Disadvantages of Hydroelectric

  7. Uses the sun for electricity and heat • Inexpensive • Windows must face South • Cloudy days don’t work • Need backup source in evening • Free energy Solar heating
