Vision of the CBO To be an ideal organization Change livelihood condition Continue micro-credit activity
Problems being faced Loan repayment and savings collection at group level Shortage of staff and lack of monitoring Weak in accounts keeping and maintaining documents at both group and office level
Felt needs Capacity building support from CONCERN Two more staffs Increase credit capital
Our observation Exit strategy of phasing out from community in terms of linking with financial organization & LGI Understanding, articulation, negotiation and influencing others, confidence were appreciating Existing engagement of CBO leaders in functioning the CBO was encouraging
Recommendation Individual IGA should be monitored properly Reduce dependency on paid staff by involving members from SHG in loan activity Explore and develop capacity of members of CBO/SHG to perform loan activity Strategy define to engage CBO/SHG member in the context of increased coverage and amount of loan in long run Establish linkage with government to get access to khas land Collective business/income opportunity should be introduced
