What is The Summer Exchange? • China’s best and foremost summer school course • Teach in English by Harvard students and alumni • Provides Chinese students a great opportunity to learn from world’s elites • Flexible and innovative curriculum • Aims to help the participants to develop some essential traits and skills
What is special about the program? • Teachers: Current students or alumni from Harvard University • Teaches according to student’s differences in English level. • Curriculum is designed by students at Harvard Graduate School of Education for students aged 9 to 20. • Teacher-student ratio: 1:10 to 1:15 • Venue: Canadian International School of Hong Kong • Duration of each session: 14 daysClass hours: 9am – 3pm (Lunch break: 12pm-1pm) • TSE teachers and students will be able to meet Harvard professors in person through an interactive video conference. • Also Available in other places: Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Wuhan, Shenyang.
After learning English for 7-10 years, you may still… • Use simple English to greet overseas friends • Find yourself using outdated phrases and dialogues during an English conversation; • Find it difficult to understand English articles appeared in newspapers, and what the news reporter is saying when watching news on TV; • Hesitate to present yourself, such as reading poems, giving speeches, and debating in English; • Think that English is a subject which forces you to memorize vocabularies and complicated grammar, and hardly find it possible to make it your communication tool.
TSE VS English college of further education (CFE) Small classes each of 10-15 students We have current students and alumni from Harvard University as our teachers. The interactive TSE curriculum puts emphasis on students’ progress. Students will not be given unlimited grammar exercises. They will learn English without even noticing it. TSE VS Oral Training School We not only focus on improving students’ English oral skills, but also provide activities such as debate, speech, and drama… etc, in order to strengthen students’ confidence Teachers and students will make friends for lifetime.
