Attachment 2 George Washington & Jefferson NFs District/Area Ranger Determines whether a proposal is routine or “non routine”. If “non routine”, notifies Forest Recreation Staff Officer. Excellence by DesignProcess Forest Recreation and Engineering Staff Officers Review proposal, identify planning and design needs, recommend EBD Team review or not. Forest EBD Team Reviews proposal to assure all issues and requirements have been considered. Reviews plans and designs as well. Makes recommendations to Staff Officers. Conducts additional construction and post construction reviews as needed or appropriate. Forest Recreation and Engineering Staff Officers and Ranger Work together to correct any issues or problems identified by EBD Team. If needed or desired, modify, postpone, or drop the proposal. . Documentation Process and recommend-ations are documented by EBD Team. Modification made to the proposal to address issues is documented by Forest Recreation Staff Officer. Non-routine proposalsthat are subject to this process review include projects with an estimated cost of $2,500 or more that would change how a recreation area or trail looks, functions or who it serves, a proposal that would change the development scale of developed recreation site or maintenance level of a trail, a proposal that requires the construction/ installation of structures or utility systems, or any trail proposal that includes a bridge.
