Our Mission Our mission is to provide not only the safe and healthy development of our hockey players, but to provide an environment that fosters teamwork, fellowship, sportsmanship and continued skill development. Our coaching staff’s goals are to maintain a positive learning environment that develops both individual growth and team play. In addition; it is our hope that by participating in an athletic sport associated with Windham High School we will instill the qualities of teamwork, school pride, work ethic, responsibility, discipline and important lifelong lessons in our student-athletes.

Windham Ice Hockey: A New Beginning • Formed 8 yrs ago by Windham & Sacopee Valley parents. • Windham Ice Hockey now is the not-for-profit, 501(c)(3), organization that supports the Windham High and Middle School hockey teams • Windham Ice Hockey is sanctioned by RSU14 and administered by the Athletic Dept. • While RSU 14 has increased funding over time the overwhelming majority of the funding comes from Windham Ice Hockey fundraising efforts. • .

  9. Fundraising Does Fundraising make a difference? YES Is Fundraising easy? YES Looking Back - 2013/2014 • Summerfest: Got the word out! There is ice hockey in Windham! • Wreath Sales: $1300 earned in player profits; $325earned for WIH • Craft Fair: $395 earned for WIH • Bottle Drive: $2039 earned for WIH • Program: $2925 for WIH • Grant Request:$1000

  11. How to Get FREE HOCKEY! FUNDRAISING • Core function of the WIH Board of Directors • How fundraising works: • A fixed percentage of profits go to the General Fund • A fixed percentage goes directly to your child’s tuition • Each fundraiser may have a different percentage that goes towards your account – every little bit helps! • The more you fundraise, the lower your individual tuition • Some parents raise enough funds to allow their child to play for free
