October Reporting Statistics Texas Regions: 320 providers reported on over: 1250 category 1 or 2 projects 1800 category 3 outcomes 150 category 4 hospital reports 93% of the metrics were approved $1.088 billion will be paid for DSRIP $1.165 billion was reported (NMI returns) $1.688 billion could have been reported

Category 3 Policy Change • Due to CMS still not approving Category 3, HHSC is proposing a broader streamlined strategy that will help providers meet the expectation to report performance improvement in DY4-5. • Their strategy is to prepare for “Waiver 2” with DSRIP measurement approaches • DY4-5 –50% allocation for Pay for Performance P4P and 50% allocation for Pay for Reporting P4R • DY3 Pay for Reporting P4R Only • 10% improvement measures will be adopted as standard

Category 3 Policy Change • HHSC posted excel document with the Category 3 Menu and PFP or PFR indicated on each item. • For DY3 reporting, • Providers can only report on 50% of the metric in April. This will be a qualitative status report on preparing for baseline and technical assistance needs. • In October, providers report on the other 50% by providing baseline data. • Hospital providers may re-select from a subset of PPA, PPC, PPR and the cat 3 choices don’t have to directly tie to main project • Non-hospital providers choose a subset of measures or collaborations to promote data sharing or reliability of measures • HHSC will hold a webinar to explain the category 3 measures.

Timelines for Early 2014 • January 27th Phase 4 Results to Providers • February 3rd Providers submit responses to Anchor • February 24th HHSC completes Phase 4 review • January 31st HHSC send Anchor Annual Reports and Learning Collaborative Plans to CMS • February 7th NMI responses from October are approved or denied • February 12th HHSC provides 3 year project feedback • Late February Providers respond to 3 year project feedback • March 14 HHSC submits 3 yr projects to CMS (eligible April reporting) • Late April CMS responds to 3 yr projects • March 7th Providers return selected Category 3 measures to HHSC
