Chemical Reactions and Equations; • Law of conservation of mass, types of reactions, oxid/redux reactions, the mole, stoichiometry, heat energy and reactions • Gases; gas laws • Solutions; • Concentration, acids and bases, neutralization • Chemical Equilibrium and Kinetics; • Dynamic balance, reaction rates
Lab safety and textbooks • Students are required to study safety contract rules • Receive/earn a lab license • Practice safety in chemistry lab with glassware and chemicals • Textbook Chemistry, by Glencoe • Numerous resources on line
