Getting to Know Ms. Politano • Bachelors Degree in Environmental Science and Marine Biology from Stony Brook University • Masters in Education from Brooklyn College • This is my 6th year teaching and my fifth year teaching at KECSS. • I have taught 6th, 7th, 8th grade science as well as High School classes. • Before I become a teacher, I was an educator at the Prospect Park Zoo and New York Aquarium.

  4. Main Goals for 6th Grade Science 1. Students will demonstrate a scientific approach to problem solving. 2. Students will learn the essential principles, concepts, facts, and vocabulary of science. 3. Students will understand the role of science in our scientific, mathematical, and technological world. 4. Students will integrate the sciences with each other and other subject areas. 5. Students will develop positive attitudes toward science. 6. Students will acquire research methods to expand their knowledge of science.
