  5. Why can’t we get along US Government had to COMPROMISE… President Obama wants to raise taxes on families making more than 250,000 dollars BUT critics think that raising taxes will hurt the US economy

  6. Compromised Reached… Kind of… • Congress agreed to increase taxes for families that make over 450,000 • BUT NO spending cuts • Still need to decide on the debt ceiling • U.S has reached the limit of 16.7 trillion
