5. Class Store • Each month, we will have a class store. Students earn tickets to the store by: • Staying on green or super blue • 90% or higher on all tests • Exceptionally insightful comments/class participation • Being a super helper in the class or on the playground • Amazing handwriting • Exceptional effort/improvement in an academic subject • Being positively rewarded by a specialty teacher • First store will be Monday, September 30 if you want to help!

8. P.E. Days • Monday, Thursday, and some Wednesdays • Please wear tennis shoes every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday

9. Lunch and Snack • Please pack a snack and a lunch for your child. • First grade students get hot and thirsty!

13. Birthdays • We love to celebrate birthdays in school! • We have 21 kids in our class.

14. Spirit Wear Fridays • Jeans or jean capris are allowed • No short jean shorts please (knee length required) • Linfield Spirit wear T-shirts • Tennis shoes on Fridays please. We will have activities with our reading buddies or other fun activities that may include time outside on the playground.

15. Parent Volunteers • In class 8:30-9:50 AM Reading Help • In class 1:20-2:40 pack folders/filing/help teacher • In class parties and special events are center based and we needs lots of helping hands • Our first event is Apple Day on September 27! • Please send in your child’s favorite apple!

16. Class Fund for Parties/Events • $25 per family please • We use this money to pay for our monthly thematic events, craft supplies, and class parties • Donations of food will also be assigned to each family
