Principles of Policies Evaluation is guided by the philosophy that we: promote a culture of teaching and learning foster professional development and scholarly activity promote fairness and transparency timely and accurate feedback comply with collective agreements undertake as a process involving multiple stakeholders, and a variety of assessment approaches
Expectations Faculty strive for excellence in teaching, which is assessed by: teaching (including curriculum development) research, scholarly, or artistic engagement service (collegiate citizenship) collegiality (professionalism, respect for students & peers, and ethical behaviour) professional development

Teaching/ Professional Dossiers Dossier is defined as a concise, evidence-based record of academic and professional accomplishments prepared by a faculty member. It is both reflective and qualitative in its assembly.
Peer Review Peer review is defined as an assessment of performance undertaken by experienced colleagues.
Stakeholder Review Stakeholder Review is defined as solicited feedback about faculty performance from individuals (e.g. students, clients, staff) who have received service.
Annual Report Annual Report is defined as a concise description of work accomplishments over the past year, professional development activities undertaken, and goals prepared for the upcoming year.
Performance Review This review is defined as a cumulative evidence based process drawing upon factors appropriate to each faculty member’s type of appointment.
