  7. We are following all the parameters and guidelines set by HEC for the PhD programme. Following is the synopsis of implementation strategies adopted by GCU, Lahore for the same: • A vision has been developed to promote the spirit of Research and Development to ensure quality in the M.Phil and PhD programmes • The GCU, Lahore focuses on the local/national issues pertaining to the problems in the researches and dissertations • There is a separate block for Post graduate/MPhil/PhD Programmes at GCUL Management of Ph.D Programme Doc:Iram Sohail/Director-QEC/TTP/December 2007

  10. The GCU Lahore is providing Quality Education at affordable Fee structure. The fee structure is devised after much deliberation keeping in view the lower middle class and the status of income. Average annual Fee being charged by the GCUL as compared with the 16 prestigious Educational Institutions indicated that fee for • PhD is the lowest • M.A/M.Sc is the 3rd Lowest • B.A/B.Sc is Moderate • Banking and Finance is Higher • M.Phil and M.Sc in Comp Science is 2nd Highest • BCS is Highest Fee Structure Doc:Iram Sohail/Director-QEC/TTP/December 2007

Among the external forces having special importance for GCU are the following: • The globalization of economies and everincreasing flow of ideas and information across national boundaries • Revolutionary advances in computing and networking technologies • The need for interdisciplinary approach to confront academic problems • Creating the future through internationally recognised research, scholarship and learning within a distinctive environment • To achieve research excellence and establish up to ten leading research groups in Mathematics, Physics, Telecommunication, Atomic Physics, Biotechnology, Sustainable Development, Entrepreneurship, Clinical and School Psychology and Strategic leadership.
