IEEE 1680 Success • IEEE 1680 Environmental Assessment of Personal Computer Products, including Notebook, Personal Computers, Desktop Personal Computers and Personal Computer Monitors (EPEAT) • PAR approved in 2005 • Standard approved & published by IEEE in 2006 • Standard approved by ANSI in July 2007 • Sponsor in November 2007 • Restructure for a family of PAR, December 2007 • EPEAT has already been referenced by the public and private sectors in IT contracts totaling more than $31 billion -ANSI Reporter • $31B is a very good measure of a conformance based standard that meets the public and government need
