Dalla mente monoculturale alla mente multiculturale • Nel passato, socializzazione a diverse culture presente solo per una minoranza • Cosmopolitismo; ma anche sospetto per le minoranze non assimilabili • Avanguardie della modernità: cosmopolitismo, migrazioni, ebraismo • Creolizzazione: ogni cultura non è statica, ma è frutto di innesti dinamici • Mente biculturale: novizi socializzati a riconoscere come proprie due culture
