Learning context: DEVELOPMENT OF DESIGN PROPOSALS A*- B (26 – 32) Next step: WORKING DRAWING Success - Evaluate each design idea including the aesthetics and how it could be developed further - Suggest what materials would be used to make the product - Consider issues including social, moral, environmental and sustainability Progress Step 3 Detailed testing and evaluation as appropriate throughout the designing process taking account of the client Progress Step 2 Imaginative and innovative ideas have been developed, demonstrating creativity, flair and originality Success - Quick pencil sketches of your product - Used a range of mediums to add definition to your ideas - Completed a minimum of 3 different design ideas in 3D Success - Know what the letters in ACCESS FM stand for - Given an example for each point - Apply the points from ACCESS FM to your own product to complete a specification Progress Step 1 Have a fully detailed and justified product specification taking full account of the analysis undertaken Prior Learning: Understand your clients needs

Learning context: PRODUCT/MANUFACTURE SPECIFICATION A*- B (26 – 32) Next step: GENERATING IDEAS Success - Evaluated each design idea including the aesthetics and how it could be developed further - Suggested what materials would be used to make the product - Considered issues including social, moral, environmental and sustainability Progress Step 3 Detailed testing and evaluation as appropriate throughout the designing process and testing against the specification Progress Step 2 Fully detailed and justified product/manufacturing specification taking full account of the analysis undertaken Success - Written one specification for each term in ACCESS FM - Used appropriate and technical language - Completed a minimum of 2 for each term in ACCESS FM Success - Summarised the research undertaken - Identified clients needs - In note form recorded what points to consider for each term in ACCESS FM Progress Step 1 Clear and specific design criteria identified reflecting analysis undertaken Prior Learning: Understand your clients needs
