MOM report Period 29/9/2011 – 5/10/2011 Giorgio CECCHET
MOM report • On Sept. 29th, we had another run to test the target. • It’s behaviour was excellent and look in eLog 1823 to see various comments from the shifters. • No major problems with the magnets of the beamline. Few small problems solved on the spot and we run with a full set of magnets (except the DS).
MOM report • HV to the TOF’s was put on remotely by Pierrick. I suggest to Pierrick to add the possibility to load all HV’s at once using a file containing the standard set of voltages for TOF’f and KL. Loading the voltages one by one is too cumbersome and time consuming. • DAQ: some problems connected with some hardware in one crate (missing voltage at the power supply) and other (see again eLog 1823-1827).
MOM report • Hall conditioning: severe water leakage from conditioning unit 1, just above the HV crates for TOF’s etc. Switched off. Need repair before Dec runs. • Comments: I suggest to power on the magnets of the beamline at least once a week and let the current flow (e.g.100A) for some time (e.g. half an hour). This until we start running again.
MOM report • Yesterday we had the “MICE Hydrogen System Pre-Operation Safety Review”. See presentations in the web page.
