Interfaces to other systems are made according to normal approved practise (ex. galvanic isolations)
Installation will be made first to the simulator – training of operators and testing
System is STUK safety level 4 (documentation to STUK only for information)
6. TARMO - SCOPE The original turbine plant control systems (Decontic, Turbomat, process controllers) will be replaced with new systems (Siemens TXP) based on programmable technology
The traditional control desks will be replaced with desks with work stations (control via screens)
Automation functions are not changed. In some cases possibilities of the new technology will be used (starting and stopping sequences of pumps, etc.)
The process instrumentation is not changed
42 positioners of pneumatic control valves are renewed

Due to OL3 capacity of the spent fuel storage has to be increased before 2010. This includes also modernization of logic of the fuel handling equipment as well as control of water handling system
