  2. Daily Routine in School • Breakfast(早餐): Breakfast should be done before 8:00. If not, students will eat it during break time. If students need to buy breakfast from the cafeteria, please do it before coming into the classroom. • Morning Drop-off(晨間接送)/ Afternoon pick-up(放學接送) • Be on time for school by 7:50 (Mon., Wed., and Fri.:7:40am). • Please call the bilingual office at 2771-5859 (Ext.511-513) or text me to notify us if your child will be absent for any reason. • Please remember to inform the bus lady if your child is not taking school bus home that day. • Please pick up the students on time. If you will be late, please notify the teacher ahead of time.

  3. Daily Routine in School • Morning time: 1. Free writing/Reading (晨間寫作及閱讀) 2. Cursive practice 3. Bilingual Monday, Wednesday, and Friday morning assemblies (8:00am at school). • Snack(點心): Please bring fruits only. • Classroom rules(教室規則) • Lunch procedure(午餐規則): Please remember to bring table cloth, silverwares, lunch boxes ( with lids), and bowls. Students will wipe off their lunch boxes with tissue papers in school and then bring it home. Please wash them every night.

  4. Daily Routine in School • Nap procedure(午休規則): Please bring a small pillow and blankets. If your child can’t sleep, please register them in the nap time class. • Communication book(聯絡簿): Please sign every night and check off the appropriate boxes. If your child did not finish their homework, please write a note in the communication book to let me know. I will ask them to finish during morning time. • Dismissal(放學) • Busers / Car pick-up: 4:25 ( 第一梯次:校車隊, 車接隊) • Parent pick-up: 4:40 ( 第二梯次:路隊, 家接) Please don’t ask the students to wait in the cafeteria.

  5. Class Expectation • Class work (課堂作業): Class work should be done in class. If students are unable to finish, they will stay during break time to finish. • Class work correction and parent signature (課堂作業訂正及簽名): Each workbook will be sent home periodically. Please monitor any corrections made by students and sign besides each grade or date. • Homework policy (回家功課): Please make a note in the communication book if certain homework is not completed the night before.

  6. Class Expectation • Daily Reading (每日閱讀): Please monitor students to read 30 minutes every night in both Chinese and English and sign the reading calendar daily in the communication book. Students will also fill in a reading log after each book they read. Once they complete the reading log, they may turn in the log and get a price. • Ask Me About: Every Friday, students will get a list of what they have learned during that week. Please discuss each subject with your child, glue the list in the communication book, and sign your name.

  7. Class Expectation • The use of mechanical pencils is allowed. However, if it distracts student’s attention, it will be taken away. • All pencils/color pencils should be put in a soft pencil pouch.

  8. Important Events • 8/31- 9/28 Swimming class on Wednesdays • 12/29 IOWA Test ( Make up: 1/3) • 9/30, 10/28, 12/2, 1/6 Shih-Men • 12/26 Christmas performance • 1/18 Winter vacation begins
